The Damocles 2404i is an IP device (snmp / web relay) with 24 digital inputs (dry contacts) and 4 relay outputs, mountable on a DIN rail. One temperature probe can be also connected.
Provides a Web interface, M2M communication (SNMP, Modbus/TCP, XML/HTTP).
When a dry contact input changes value, Damocles sends an email with customizable text and/or a SNMP trap. Alerts can be delayed by a defined time (for example, to send an email if a freezer door stays open for more than 5 minutes).
Damocles 2404i is typically used as a remote relay control to switch on or off other devices (snmp web relay, remote restart or remote relay).
Changes at a dry contact input of one device (A) are sent over the network (SNMP Trap) and reflected at the relay output of the other device (B). Damocles 2404i can react to changes at the inputs of another Poseidon or Damocles unit (without any additional software).
Example: Too high temperature in the datacenter (measured by Poseidon 3266) turns on a warning red light in the IT department in another building (relay output of Damocles 2404i).
